The Journey of New India Bible Church

History teaches us that all great institutions begin with humble beginnings, grounded in simple yet noble goals. The formation and growth of New India Bible Church and New India Bible College are clear testimonies of this truth. The seeds of this institution were sown with the revelation and vision given to Pr. Thomas Philip, whose heart was set on the mission of church planting and evangelizing India.

The Journey of New India Bible Church

Even when the journey was filled with challenges — lack of resources and unfavorable circumstances — the church’s growth was a testimony to God’s faithfulness. With the encouragement of several devoted servants of God, including Pastors T. N. Koshy, N.T. Philip, P.C. George, P.J. Joseph, M.V. Chacko, Y. Zachariah, and P.N. Zachariah, the church flourished. The vision of church planting, alongside the establishment of Sunday school ministries, VBS, and the Bible College, began to take root.

In 1973, as a result of the work of NIBC graduates, a church was established in Kompady near Thiruvalla, marking the first church under New India Bible Church. In 1976, the church was officially registered, and its growth has since continued at a remarkable pace.
